Healthcare

The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 exposed the inadequacies of traditional filtration technologies, particularly those relying on electrostatic technology, in effectively removing viruses and bacteria. This revelation underscored the necessity for mechanically structured nanofiber filters. Consequently, the healthcare industry has increasingly adopted nanofiber solutions. The adoption of the ISO 16890 testing standard in the United States post-2023 has further accelerated this trend, promoting the use of nanofiber-based filtration systems.

Medical Applications: In the medical field, nanofibers are utilized in wound dressings, drug delivery systems, and tissue engineering scaffolds, owing to their biocompatibility and structural similarity to natural extracellular matrices.
